Tuition Discount for LCMS Organizations

Affordable continuing education for full-time employees of LCMS organizations.

Make graduate study attainable while you continue to serve. Eligible individuals serving in full-time positions at Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod organizations receive a tuition discount of up to 50% on full-price graduate (master’s and doctoral) programs.

How do I apply?

Step 1: Confirm program admission. Apply and be admitted to your chosen CUC graduate program.

Step 2: Complete and submit the

Eligibility

To qualify for the Advance with Purpose discount, you must:

  • Serve in a full-time position within an LCMS organization.
  • Be enrolled or applying to a Concordia University Chicago master’s or doctoral-level program.

A: No — the Advance with Purpose discount applies to master’s and doctoral-level graduate programs.

Q: How large is the discount?
A: Eligible students receive a discount of 50% on full-price tuition.

Q: Is the discount applied per course, per term, or per year?
A: The discount is applied to full-price tuition as determined by the Office of Financial Aid at the time of award. (Financial Aid will provide final award details upon approval.)

Q: Do I need to reapply each year?
A: Renewal procedures vary by program and funding year. Financial Aid will include renewal requirements in your award notification.
