                Two hymn accompaniments scored for flute, clarinet, soprano sax, horn in F, two trumpets, two trombones and organ.  For Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Delmar NY.

Christmas Mosaic

                For chamber orchestra

                Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn in F, trumpet, trombone, strings, timpani and percussion.

                Commissioned by the Lake Placid Sinfonietta, a professional chamber orchestra.

                The group produced a CD. The angel who supported the project requested the carols:

                Written and recorded in 2001.

                As the composer was finishing up details, the recording engineer called and said, “Turn on the TV.” The date was September 11th, 2001.

                Music for a dramatic production written by Robert Clausen for the 1962 national convention of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, held in Cleveland OH.

Train Fantasie

                Written when the composer was 12 or 13 years old, inspired by Gershwin’s “Concerto in F”. (See repetition of 5ths in the bass). Some ideas were later incorporated in the “Manhattan Suite.”
