Transfer to Concordia-Chicago

You’ve already started your college journey—now finish strong in a close-knit, supportive campus community.

At Concordia University Chicago (CUC), transferring from a community college or another university is personal and straightforward. This page covers how your credits transfer, funding options, and how to join the on-campus undergraduate community.

  • Submit your application (no fee) or add Concordia University Chicago to your Common Application.
  • Request and send official transcripts from all prior colleges.

  • Complete your financial aid process (see Step 3).
  • Once accepted and cleared, attend orientation and register for classes.

  • File FAFSA (CUC code: 001666) if eligible. Early filing is beneficial.
  • Grants and Scholarships — Available to incoming transfer students; some awards are specific to community college transfer.
  • Net Price Calculator — Use CUC’s tool to estimate cost, then review with a transfer counselor.
  • Priority and Deadlines — For U.S. federal aid, aim for April 1 priority; adhere to CUC’s admission deadlines (e.g. July 1 for fall, December 1 for spring, etc.).
  • Some certificate, endorsement, or nondegree options may not qualify for federal aid—ask about alternatives or payment plans.
