Housing Forward

The mission of Housing Forward is to transition people from housing crisis to housing stability. They offer a full range of programs and services that are participant-centered, integrated, modeled using best practices, and designed to reduce the length of time and impact of trauma associated with homelessness and housing instability.

There are a number of volunteer opportunities that would fit well into your class schedule. For more information and a list of volunteer opportunities with Housing Forward, visit https://www.volunteermatch.org/search/org24487.jsp.

Volunteers around the World- VAW Medical, Dental, Veterinary and Global Health Outreach chapter

The VAW Outreach Team Leader would be in charge of recruiting student volunteers, preparing them for their trip abroad and fundraising money for the clinics. The Outreach trip abroad gives volunteers the opportunity to receive shadowing and community service hours as well as direct contact with patients under the direct supervision of local doctors, dentists and other professional staff, when they travel to one of our global locations for two weeks during a summer, spring and/or winter break. Please have a look at the website here to see more information on the program!
