Banner Day Camp (Lake Forest, IL)

Social Work & Psychology Internship

Work hands-on with children ages three through 12 and lead social emotional development within a camp group and cohort. Will also work with Banner's Inclusion Specialist to develop plans that help struggling campers be successful within the camp program.

Illinois Department of Corrections Internship Opportunities

Minimum Application Requirements: 

  1. Registered as a full-time student at an accredited college or university, working toward a bachelor's or graduate degree with major coursework in corrections, Law-Enforcement, Behavioral/Social Sciences, Healthcare, Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science or another related field. 
  2. Pass an agency background investigations and drug screen
  3. Work in a secure correctional environment
  4. Prepare written and oral reports
  5. Follow policy and procedures outlined by the agency and facility

  • Review the list of opportunities listed under each facility here 
  • Contact doc.idocjobs@illinois.gov and provide your preferred facility
  • Once directed by the Facility Intern Liaison, complete the following documents: 
    • Release of Information
    • Intern Services Application
    • Intern Information Sheet
    • You will be notified by the facility liaison to schedule an interview and tour of facility. 

If you are accepted into the program, you must complete a background check, additional paperwork and orientation. 


Naperville Police Department Internship Program

The Naperville Police Department Internship Program provides an inclusive, high-quality, safe, and advanced educational experience for qualified subjects considering a career in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice. 

All candidates should complete and submit a written application indicating consideration, by year, prior to one of the three terms: Winter/Spring semester internship by December 1, Summer semester internship by March 1 and Fall semester internship by July 1.
