If you're transferring into a master’s, doctoral, endorsement, or professional certificate program (or as a guest student), this page guides you on transferring credits, meeting admission requirements, and navigating the process.

- Letters of recommendation (usually academic or professional)
- Writing samples / portfolio, as required by program
- Resume / CV, especially in doctoral or professionally oriented programs
- For Ed.S. or doctoral tracks, programs may require evidence of research ability or previous publications
- Guest Graduate Status
- If you wish to take graduate courses without enrolling full-time in a degree program, you can apply as a guest graduate student (bachelor’s required for master-level, master’s required for doctoral-level).
- Guest credits may later be petitioned into a degree program (subject to program rules).
- Federal loans / FAFSA — Graduate students may qualify; file FAFSA if eligible.
- Local Business Discount – CUC offers 10% off online programs for local business employees.
- Advance with Purpose—50% off for local LCMS organization employees.
- Military Discount for MBA and DBA — A 20% discount is available (with proof) for MBA and DBA students.
- Employer tuition assistance — Inquire whether your employer offers support.
- External funding — Seek competitive scholarships/fellowships via professional associations or national opportunities.
- Deadlines and offerings vary — Many programs have fixed deadlines; contact your program early.
- Submit the official graduate/doctoral application with the necessary supplemental materials.
- Provide official transcripts, and ensure foreign credentials are appropriately evaluated.
- Submit recommendations, writing samples, CV, and any required program documents.
- If eligible, file FAFSA and apply for scholarships/funding.
- Upon acceptance, complete orientation, registration, and program onboarding.
