Professor Hanson teaches several courses including physiology of exercise, general and sports nutrition, research, fitness testing & exercise prescription, anatomy and physiology, and measurement & evaluation.


An expert in the areas of clinical exercise physiology and sports nutrition, she also directs the Exercise & Sport Science Laboratory, engages in research within the lab, and works with athletic teams on sports evaluations and nutrition programming.

Prior Positions

Previously, Professor Hanson worked as a clinical exercise physiologist at Rush University Medical Center and Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center. Additionally, she has extensive experience in research, with varied interests, including exercise rehabilitation in chronic disease and disability, and sports performance. She has been a member of Concordia's faculty since 2016.
