Katrina Sudman has been teaching at the Preparatory and Community Music Program at Concordia University Chicago since 2017, and in 2025, she became the Director of the program. She has also taught undergraduate and graduate level courses at the University in Piano Pedagogy and Piano Literature.


In 2018, Sudman took second place in the International Piano Competition at the Festival of the Gulf (Salerno, Italy). She has played in venues across the Chicago area, including Fourth Presbyterian Church, Nichols Hall, the Studebaker Theater, the Chicago Botanic Gardens, the Chicago Temple Building, and multiple Steinway Galleries. She and husband Vincent Catalano have a Classical piano duo (Catalano-Sudman Piano Duo) and are active performers in various concert series, churches, and theaters. Their concerts have taken them to Washington D.C, Chicago, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis and more.

Sudman holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University (IL) and her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, summa cum laude, from Azusa Pacific University. She continued her postgraduate studies in Italy with internationally acclaimed pianist Carlo Maria Dominici, the last pupil of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli.  

She began teaching at 17 years old. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and has adjudicated multiple student competitions and festivals, including the NSMTA Sonata-Sonatina Festival. She has taught in California, Illinois, and Italy. She is passionate about sharing the beauty of Classical music with young students and helping them develop artistry and musical sensitivity. She believes in taking students seriously from the first lesson, having high expectations, and supporting them every step of the way as they work towards their goals.
