Giving To Concordia

CUClass of 2011 Scholarship Fund

This year we, the 2011 graduates of CUChicago, will receive degrees, find our place in today’s workforce, and some may even buy their first home. We will be leaving Concordia – a special place that became a second home to us and a community that has fostered so many distinct opportunities.

Members of the Class of 2011 are joining together to show our appreciation for our Concordia experience. We are challenging each other to share our gifts to create the CUClass of 2011 Scholarship.

We know that you have built friendships on campus that will follow you into the future both personally and professionally. As members of a world-wide network of more than 28,000 Cougars, our gifts will help others remember our legacy and impact in Concordia’s history.

The goal? Reach 100% class participation in our efforts. U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings of universities are partly based on this percentage. The higher the ranking, the greater the value of your degree. But, what’s significant is that this ranking measures the number of graduates who give rather than the amount shared. Can you help us grow closer to our goal?

Our class challenges each graduate to pledge $125 over four years to reach $30,000. This aggressive promise will allow us to share our first scholarship by CUChicago’s 150th anniversary in 2014. Your gift will help provide the aid and inspiration necessary for future Cougars to complete their education.

All participants, who donate a minimum of $20.11, will be honored at commencement with a commemorative maroon & gold Spirit Tassel. Those who pledge $125 will receive both the Spirit Tassel and an exclusive “I AM GIVING” T-shirt with their first payment of our class year.

Classmates can make a one-time gift or a multi-year pledge to help us fund the scholarship over the next four years.
