Celebrating Terri J. Woods
Terri J. Woods has been living out her vocation at Concordia University’s as head athletic trainer for nearly 35 years. Upon coming to Concordia in 1984, Terri designed and established the athletic training facilities and implemented the NATA Undergraduate Student Athletic Training Program internship route to certification. As an assistant professor, she taught courses in athletic training, first aid and fitness evaluation for the Human Performance Department. Woods became the first full-time Certified Athletic Trainer in Concordia’s history in 1999. The following year, she established a second training facility in the CATS building as part of Concordia’s football/track renovation project.

Since 1984 Terri Woods has worked alongside nearly 100 student assistants, interns, graduate assistants and medical professionals to serve 3,600+ student athletes. To honor her dedication, athlete alumni and colleagues are helping to fully-fund a new scholarship that will serve student athletic trainers. By collectively sharing $30,000 (or more), you will help our alma mater provide financial aid to students seeking serve in a variety of Health Sciences vocations.
