  • Favorite hobby? In both high school and college I was obsessed with running. In one of my favorite books “Running and Being” by Dr. George Sherman, he explains how he does not run to “add days to [his] life”, but instead runs to “add life to [his] days”. In the same vein, running was, and still is, an integral part of my life and my joy.
  • Anything on your bucket list? Is it generic, possibly? Is it ironic? Yes, extremely. A goal of mine is to go skydiving at some point even though I’m deathly afraid of heights.
  • The thing that differentiates CUC from other universities? Are you looking for a school that values you for your abilities as well as your individuality? Here at CUC we take pride in getting to know our students as fellow creatives. We value our student’s insight and perspective. Being at CUC, I’ve come to cherish the close-knit community feel and relationships I have developed since being here.
  • Favorite thing to do in Chicago? Easy, hunt for new restaurants to try. On the weekends I head downtown with friends as often as I can and make a concerted effort to try out new food places. I’d argue that Chicago has the most diverse assortment of restaurants and best food that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. I do acknowledge that I am probably very biased since I was born and raised here, but it still holds true to me.
  • International dream destination? I absolutely love the Japanese culture and especially the food.
  • Which Chicago sports teams do you root for? Cubs, Bulls, Bears, and Blackhawks. Side note, I have no bias against White Sox fans.
