Concordia University Chicago will welcome Dr. Gene Veith to deliver the lecture, “God at Work: Your Christian Vocation in All of Life,” on Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. in CULearn (CC248).

Veith is professor emeritus of literature at Patrick Henry College (Purcellville, VA). He is well-known in Lutheran, Christian, classical education and homeschooling circles through his writing and speaking on various aspects of Christianity and culture. He is the author of 20 books and over 100 scholarly works. Veith served previously on the faculty of Concordia University Wisconsin, and was director of the Cranach Institute at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne.
The Office of the President will purchase copies of Veith’s book, “The Spirituality of the Cross,” for all CUC faculty and staff. Veith will speak for approximately 30 minutes and then take questions for 30 minutes.
