Concordia University Chicago has been nationally recognized by LendEDU as one of the Best Colleges for Financial Aid, making the list at seventh in Illinois and 59th in the nation, a significant rise from last year’s ranking of 16th in Illinois and 259th nationally.

“Concordia University Chicago is committed to providing a high-quality liberal arts education that is affordable to all,” said Eric Matanyi, associate vice president for Marketing and Communication at Concordia-Chicago. “Earlier this year, LendEDU also recognized CUC as having the sixth-lowest student debt in Illinois. This new ranking comes as further validation that we truly offer a great value to our students.”

According to the analysis, a Concordia-Chicago student with financial need has a 98.35% likelihood of receiving need-based aid. Schools were ranked according to their average financial aid offerings for need-based financial aid (60% weight), non-need-based financial aid (34% weight) and financial aid for international students (6% weight).

“Because scholarships and grants don’t need to be repaid, they can help make even the most expensive of colleges relatively affordable,” LendEDU said in their report. “This is why financial aid is so important, and why it’s imperative for any prospective college student to research which higher education institutions are the most likely to provide generous financial aid packages.”
