Concordia University Chicago (CUC) announced today that it has been named as the official teach-out institution for two graduate degree programs from Concordia University Portland (CUP). Students enrolled over the past three years in CUP’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Education (EdD) programs will have the opportunity to complete their degrees through CUC.

In response to CUP’s recent announcement that it was closing, Concordia-Chicago introduced several opportunities to assist Portland students. These high-level initiatives are designed to help CUP students complete their degrees smoothly and affordably.

“Thanks to the strength of the Concordia University System as a whole, we are working with several of the other schools in the system to develop ways to assist the affected students with completing their educations,” said Concordia-Chicago president Dr. Russell Dawn. “Building upon the existing strengths of our nationally recognized graduate programs, we are proud to be able to offer clear pathways for students to complete these specific degrees.”

All Concordia Portland students in good academic and financial standing are guaranteed admission to Concordia-Chicago, and will receive a customized degree completion plan supporting each student’s goals and concentration selections. Concordia-Chicago will accept 100% of credits earned at, or accepted as transfer credit by Concordia Portland toward a related degree program. This option is available to all MBA and EdD students who have attended and earned credits toward their current degree program at Concordia Portland within the last three (3) calendar years. All admissions to Concordia-Chicago are subject to standard University requirements, policies and procedures.
