Kathy Gebhardt named Concordia-Chicago Dean of Students


Kathy Gebhardt has been named as the Dean of Students at Concordia University Chicago on a permanent basis, effective at the beginning of this new year. She will continue in her role as Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Leadership.

Gebhardt will provide executive leadership to the Office of the Dean of Students, career services, housing, international student services, residence life, first-year student success, student leadership and involvement, multicultural and first generation student engagement, counseling center, the Academic Center for Excellence, and undergraduate academic advising and study abroad.

Since 2003, Gebhardt has served Concordia-Chicago in myriad roles including Head Volleyball Coach, Undergraduate Academic Advisor, Assistant Director of Athletics, Associate Dean of Students and Acting Dean of Students. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at Concordia University Chicago before pursuing her Master of Science in Sports Management from St. Cloud State University.
