IMPORTANT WEATHER ADVISORY: Amended Campus Operations 12/22 and 12/23
Concordia University Chicago's main campus in River Forest, IL will enact amended operations on Thursday, Dec. 22 and Friday, Dec. 23 due to an expected major winter storm event. Operations for the remainder of this week are as follows:
Thursday, Dec. 22:
- Employees should report to campus for work (unless a prior remote work agreement is in place).
- Early release: Employees may leave campus at 3 p.m.
- Individuals with a desktop computer should leave their unit ON when they depart campus Thursday evening, to enable remote access on Friday. CougarNet will provide additional access instructions via a separate email.
- Limited campus operations remain available for residential students only.
- There are no scheduled campus events or athletic matches.
- The Early Childhood Education Center is closed per its regular holiday schedule.
Friday, Dec. 23:
- The main River Forest campus will be closed.
- Employees who are scheduled to work should do so from home:
- Only employees who are directed to report to work by their supervisors will be allowed on campus during the closure. Employees should check with their supervisors if they are unsure of their status.
- Remote Desktop access allows employees to connect to campus desktop computers remotely.
- Campus offices serving students will be available via email and phone.
- There are no scheduled campus events or athletic matches.
- The Early Childhood Education Center is closed per its regular holiday schedule.
Severe weather conditions, including dangerous temperatures and wind chills, are predicted. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are encouraged to use extreme care including exercising safe travel procedures and wearing appropriate seasonal clothing.
University operations are currently modified in response to COVID-19.
