Jonathan Chapman Cook is a freelance pianist, composer, organist and teacher who has recently moved to Chicago from Lexington, VA. In Lexington, Jonathan held a private studio of 35 students, worked as staff accompanist at Washington and Lee University, and served as organist and music director at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Hot Springs.

He has appeared as a guest artist at the University of Michigan, Washington and Lee University, Garth Newel Music Center, and was presented on the Distinguished Alumni Recital Series at Western Michigan University. Along with his love of the great classical composers, Jonathan is an avid proponent of contemporary music. He enjoys improvising and composing his own music, and spends time working on his project of solar-powered electronic music for yoga under the stage name Jonathan Aidan. Raised in Kalamazoo, MI, Jonathan studied with Jill Christian in high school, Lori Sims and C. Curtis-Smith at Western Michigan University and Christopher Harding at the University of Michigan.
