About the Center
The Counseling Center's services are available to the students of Concordia University-Chicago. All services are strictly confidential and free of charge. The Center is available Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm.
The Center is committed to providing a range of personal counseling services, including:
- Short-term psychotherapy
- Referrals to off-campus resources & services
- A variety of periodic psychoeducation, workshops, and mental health and wellness screenings
The staff at the Counseling Center have completed the necessary requirements for licensure in the state of Illinois. In addition to the academic, state, and national requirements, they have had many years of clinical experience. The department also has two graduate-level counseling interns from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology whom have met
The Center especially strives to help students successfully make important transitions, such as starting college, living away from home for the first time, transferring from another school to Concordia, or returning to college after a time away from school.
