“My art involves an exploration of the Nigerien landscape, the Djarma and Fulani cultures and the art forms they create. This abstract work portrays ritual and tradition in Nigerien culture.”

Paintings by Robert J. Johnson
January 14 – February 23, 2019
Celebrated artist and educator, Johnson taught in the Chicago Public School system for 30 years. He also served as the Director, Bureau of Art for CPS for more than five years. This show highlights some of his recent oil and acrylic paintings of landscapes, still lives and depictions of people in various everyday settings.

Concordia University Chicago Student Art Show
View a special faculty selected eclectic array of two and three dimensional art works created in spring and fall 2018 and spring 2019 art classes. Students from many majors are represented. A special feature is a designated area to highlight the works of students graduating with an art minor.

Concordia University Chicago Graduating Senior Art Show
Graduating art majors in the areas of studio art, graphic arts, pre-art therapy and or art education exhibit a wide variety of two and three-dimensional works of art. More than 60 works will be on display.

Concordia University Chicago Art Faculty and Student Works Exhibition
An informal summer art show featuring an eclectic sampling of works created in a variety of media produced by past and present art students. All student works were created in art classes at the University. Art faculty join in the fun by showing some of their recent works alongside their talented students.
