Feeling encouraged in the classroom and at her on-campus job, Zoe Martinez knows—she’s got this

One of Zoe’s favorite things about CUC is that her professors know that students are human beings, not just a number. “The professors here really want you to succeed, so they’re going to help you in any way possible. If you’re having a problem with something, you feel comfortable asking them for help, and they will guide you in the right direction.”

Outside the classroom, Zoe has been able to grow in her on-campus job as a UGA Student Ambassador. “It teaches me to be on my toes at all times. In my role, I meet so many different people, from different backgrounds, different sports. So I’ve learned to put myself out there more,” she says. “I feel like CUC has brought me out of my shell. When I’m thrown into new situations, I might normally want to close myself off. But people here encourage me to do things and help me see that I’ve got this.”
