For Caleb, Concordia-Chicago is a place to find new ways to serve and learn from experience

Caleb Martin chose CUC because of the incredible community he found here and the scholarship opportunities that have allowed him to pursue his future vocation as a Lutheran educator. A President’s Honor Scholar, Caleb doesn’t hesitate to challenge himself, whether academically or with a variety of activities on campus. He serves the Spiritual Life Team as a residential ministry coordinator and leads a Bible study on campus called Men 'N' Mugs. When he’s not busy with classes and extracurriculars, Caleb enjoys watching movies, spending time outdoors and listening to music—Bob Dylan in particular.

“I am so thankful to be a part of such a warm and welcoming community. I have established great relationships with my professors and they have continued to push me in both my studies and faith,” Caleb says. “Concordia-Chicago has provided countless opportunities for me to get involved and because of them, I have made lifelong friends. I am grateful that this University has become my home and excited to grow in my vocation as a future teacher and child of God.”
