Benjamin Heinz soaks up the spiritual atmosphere of a Christian, Lutheran university

In Benjamin’s experience, the spiritual benefits of life at CUC come from all corners of campus. “There are so many really great spiritual role models here, whether or not they are students or professors or something beyond that. I've built up some wonderful relationships with professors—not just in the theology department—and they are really encouraging in everything I do.”

He adds that Concordia-Chicago’s focus on faith is fulfilling and reciprocal: “You feed the spiritual life of the people around you and then that comes back to you. The cool thing about CUC is that you're not just part of this little club for whatever faith you're part of. It's a campus-wide thing that lots of people will build you up in the faith, and these are people who are just part of your everyday community. You don't have to go out of your way to find people who will support you in your faith.”
