Devotions on the Hymn of the Day

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)

The hymns of the Christian church not only serve us well in our worship and in our teaching but, they can also offer striking spiritual insight, comfort and counsel. Written by a wide variety of Lutheran pastors, teachers, church musicians and laity, each of these devotions seeks to unwrap the gift of the hymn text and apply it to the our Christian life.

These devotions are intended for:

  • Personal use
  • Staff meetings
  • High school classrooms
  • Small groups

You may download and print them for local use.
