The Alumni Phase
By its very nature, a special campaign such as Build. Grow. Inspire. involves our Alumni. By advancing the University’s mission through expanded programs, endowments and facilities, alumni receive greater recognition, prestige and opportunities in the community.
“This campaign is a great opportunity to tell the church and world that our alumni are equipped to serve their communities,” said Cindy Simpson, Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations. “At the same time, corporations, foundations, community leaders and donors of the university look to the participation of alumni in campaigns as an incentive for their own giving to a campaign.
As part of the Alumni Phase to the campaign, a series of opportunities will be provided for our alumni to participate. We are also very excited about a special video series being released this spring that tells the story of our alumni and our students during the past 70 years.
In the meantime, recent initiatives have been made to engage our alumni, including the formation of the University’s Alumni Advisory Council, heightening communications to alumni, establishing the CougarCorps volunteer program, and hosting numerous affinity events, reunions and think-tank advisory sessions.
