So Ron, how does CUC inspire learning?

I’m inspired to learn because of the love the professors have for what they’re doing. They are so passionate about what they are teaching and it makes you want to learn more. It’s clear that they’re doing exactly what they want to be doing.

Can you give some examples?

As a theatre student at CUC, I value the opportunities to learn from knowledgeable professors who care about students’ success. The professors here are already in the world they’re teaching about, and they teach from their personal experience. For example, Professor Jayme McGhan is a playwright himself. I’m able to learn the tricks of the trade as well as the subject matter itself.

And when professors can tell you have a passion for something, they’ll do everything they can to help you. With the help of my theatre professors, Dr. Eunice Eifert and Professor McGhan, I was able to secure an internship as a set carpenter at Forestburgh Playhouse in New York. It was a great way to make networking connections with working professionals in the theatre field.
