Daniel, how does CUC inspire leadership?
What’s great about CUC is the opportunity to be involved and be a leader in so many different areas. I’m on the track and field team, and this year I joined the soccer team. I also like doing intramurals, especially floor hockey, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball and basketball. I’m a member of Image (visual art club), the Ping-Pong Club and the Floor Hockey Club, which I helped start along with another student. I’m a Resident Assistant (RA) in a dorm on campus, serving as a resource for other students. And I alternate between two campus jobs during the school year.
How are these experiences helping you build a successful future?
Being voted captain of the track team this year shows a lot about what I can do, and also being involved in different student clubs and activities. Having the RA position and holding two jobs on campus shows how I can be flexible. And being on two sports teams is teaching me discipline and the importance of staying committed. All those experiences together will mold me into a successful person in the end.
