Ryan Howard, Spiritual Life President
Ryan is a senior, majoring in Director of Christian Education
My name is Ryan Howard, and I am a senior in the DCE program here at CUC. Currently I hail from San Diego, California, but as the son of a church worker I've lived all over the country and have been a part of churches in places like Missouri and Ohio as well.
We all come to Concordia from different walks of life. We come from the West Coast, the East Coast, the South, the Midwest, and many other geographical locations. Some of us are studying theology, some teaching, some business, some the arts, and so on. We have a variety of beliefs, creeds, values, and ways of doing things. Amidst all this diversity, there is something that we all share: We are all created by God, and His Son Jesus gave His life for all of us, that we might be redeemed and made holy in order to serve Him in His Kingdom now and forever.
Finding our identity in Christ, we can foster a sense of unity despite all of our differences. It is this kind of unity that I would like to see this year at Concordia. Every student can bring their own perspective, their own gifts and talents, and their own passions to Student-Led Campus Ministry, and together we can accomplish way more than anything we could on our own. I am most excited to see how many different ways the students of Concordia can serve their campus, their community, and their world, and it is my goal to help them do this as best as I possibly can, with the Holy Spirit's help and guidance.
