Allison Dodgers, Concordia Youth Ministry
I am from Rockford, Michigan, and I am entering into my senior year at Concordia Chicago. I am a double major in Biology and Theology, and after I graduate I hope to go to nursing school and eventually be involved with medical mission work. I spent this last semester studying at Westfield House in Cambridge, focusing on my theological studies. The semester abroad was an enriching experience and offered new perspectives on academic life, as well as planting a love for studying New Testament Greek, but I am looking forward to coming home for my final year at Concordia.
Concordia Youth Ministry holds a special place in my heart. I joined as a freshman, and throughout my years at Concordia I have developed some of my closest friendships thanks to participating in CYM. CYM is a great way to grow in faith and share in the Gospel with a group of people on campus. We also focus on sharing God's love by teaching, interacting with, and providing good examples for youth in the area. I am so excited to see how CYM will grow this coming year, and how it will continue to impact my life, as well as the lives of all the students involved. I hope that the community formed by CYM will continue to be strengthened as we branch out and become more involved with all that Spiritual Life does on campus and off.
