Jump Start Resources for Parents
Concordia University Chicago’s Jump Start program isn’t just for our incoming students. Throughout the program, parents and families will have the opportunity to learn more about all the resources, programs, and activities CUC has to offer. The information below will help you prepare for your Jump Start experience and serve as a reference afterwards.
Students register for the Jump Start program through Concordia Connect, CUC's personalized web portal. General information about the Jump Start program is available here.
On-Campus Housing during Jump Start Sessions
During Jump Start, families have the option of staying on campus in a residence hall room, if rooms are available. We offer both single rooms (one twin size bed) and double rooms (two twin size beds). If siblings are attending, additional rooms may be needed. Families can expect to share communal bathrooms and showers: women in one facility, men in another down the hall. The rooms may not have air-conditioning. Towels and sheets are included while televisions, alarm clocks, etc. are not provided.
Special Prices for Jump Start: $25 for a Single Room, $40 for a Double Room
Please check back after May 1, 2010 to make your request online. We encourage you to wait for your student’s Jump Start session to be confirmed before you make a room request.
Other Accommodations in the Area
Family members can make their own arrangements at a wide variety of accommodations in the surrounding area. Links and information for hotels, motels, and bed & breakfasts near Concordia's campus can be found here. Several hotels and motels offer discounts to members of the CUC community.
