Concordia University was founded in 1864 in Addison, Illinois to help equip students to be successful educators. The University moved in 1913 to its beautiful, tree-lined 40-acre campus in River Forest, Illinois, an upscale, suburban community 10 miles west of downtown Chicago with access to the excitement and opportunities of an international city and the warmth of a small town.

100% of full-time undergraduate students receive some type of financial assistance based on
need, merit, background and/or academic program.

Our students represent nearly 40 states and a dozen countries. 42%
of our students are from states other than Illinois.
79% of freshmen live on campus in one of our six residence halls, complete with cable TV and with individual Internet hookups, phone numbers, and voice mailboxes for each student. Most rooms now feature wireless internet.
