The Concordia University Chicago Band will present a Christmas Concert on Friday, November 30, at 8 p.m., in The Chapel of Our Lord, on Concordia’s River Forest campus. Admission is free.

Concert selections include The Night Before Christmas by Randol Alan Bass based on the familiar poem by Clement Clarke Moore with Peter Pohlhammer as narrator. The ensemble is conducted by Dr. Richard R. Fischer, a distinguished professor of music and River Forest resident in his 38th year as director of bands at Concordia-Chicago. Dr. Fischer is in demand internationally as a guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator. Jean Harrison Bojes will be the commentator.

The Concordia-Chicago campus is located at 7400 Augusta Street, River Forest, IL. Free handicapped-accessible parking is available in the visitors’ lot north of the University parking structure on Bonnie Brae Street.
