Nearly 400 Concordia-Chicago students named to Fall 2025 Dean’s List

Concordia University Chicago is pleased to share its Fall 2025 Dean’s List, recognizing the outstanding academic achievement of 388 undergraduate students. To earn this distinction, baccalaureate degree-seeking students must achieve a semester GPA of 3.62 or higher, complete at least 12 semester hours, and maintain good disciplinary standing.

Concordia University Chicago announced today that Dr. Robert “Rob” Balza has been named vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer. Balza, who brings extensive experience in academic leadership and program development to Concordia-Chicago, will assume his new role on January 12, 2026.

Ferguson Art Gallery presents “Classical Spaces, Current Views” exhibit

This fall, the Ferguson Art Gallery at Concordia University Chicago invites the community to experience “Classical Spaces, Current Views,” a group exhibition of photography and mixed-media collage inspired by the University’s recent Classical Education trips. The show runs October 13 through November 14, 2025, and is free and open to the public. A reception will be held in the gallery on Sunday, November 9, from 1 to 3 p.m., featuring an artist talk at 2 p.m.

University Band kicks off season with fall concert

The University Band of Concordia University Chicago will open its fall season with a concert on Friday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. in the University’s Chapel of Our Lord. Admission is free.
