Naveeda Athar, EdD

Director, Mental Health Clinic

Dr. Athar teaches graduate level psychology courses at Concordia University Chicago. She also serves as a student advisor for students studying clinical mental health. Additionally, Dr. Athar is a member of the peer review committee and the Director for the Mental Health Clinic. Domestic violence, career development among immigrants, the impact of domestic violence on career seeking behaviors and substance abuse are among her areas of research. Prior to coming to Concordia, she served as the director of mental health services at the Hamdard Center in Addison. Dr. Athar has been a member of Concordia’s faculty since 2007.
