Concordia Experience

June

Summertime greetings from the Offices of Student Leadership Involvement and Undergraduate Admission! Whether you and your family have already attended our summer orientation, Jump Start or have yet to do so, we want to make sure you are connected to Concordia University Chicago over the summer! To help with that connection, below are a few reminders and announcements. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact any of us!

Warm Regards,

The Offices of Student Leadership & Involvement and Undergraduate Admission

Jump Start: What can parents do/learn at Jump Start?

By attending Jump Start, you have the options of participating in program sessions, the campus fair and social events. Through these opportunities, you will meet fellow new parents as well as current CUC students, faculty and staff members who are dedicated to helping your son or daughter succeed at college.

One new resource we are pleased to announce for our students at Jump Start is the Cougar Card. Not only is the Cougar Card the official identification card for students, but it also:

  • Serves as the on-campus meal ticket with CUC’s campus food provider, Sodexo Campus Services
  • Functions as a library card useable at CUC as well as in other community and academic libraries
  • May be used in the vending machines, laundry facilities and copiers on campus if cash is added to the card using one of the “cash-to-card” machines located around campus
  • Has the ability to be activated as a U.S. Bank ATM and Pin-based debit card if the user chooses to open a US Bank account

Enrolling Survey: Concordia University Chicago is always focused on improving the recruitment and admission processes. To do that, we have sent an online survey to your son or daughter’s address to gain their perspective. Please remind them to take a few minutes to complete the survey so we know what works well and how we can improve the experience for future new students. We appreciate your help!
