Opening Service

The opening service for the 2012-2013 academic year will be celebrated on August 26 at 4 p.m. in The Chapel of Our Lord.
Opening Service is the festival worship event which officially begins our academic year. At that time we install/ induct new faculty and staff, recognize student leaders, celebrate our golden alums, and commend to God the work of this educational institution.
At the service we will also unveil our new processional banner, “Our Life, Our Joy, Our Treasure”, created by Lois Prahlow ’60 ; and we will sing for the first time Dr. Charles Brown’s new festival arrangement of the hymn of the year, “Jesus, Priceless Treasure”.
All are welcome to continue the celebration at a reception following the service, where we will enjoy an “Artists’ Talk” led by Mrs. Prahlow and Dr. Brown.
