Correspondence Study

Through its Correspondence Study Program, the College Graduate and Innovative Programs offers distance education instruction for undergraduate credit. The courses are prepared and taught by members of the Concordia faculty, and are considered resident credits. Typically, courses are divided into a number of lessons, each requiring a written report or its equivalent. Testing may also be a part of the course.

Correspondence courses provide flexibility to students who are not able to participate in a traditional classroom setting but want to continue to learn. Individuals who are Concordia University Chicago students must have an advisor’s approval before registering for a Correspondence course.

Students are expected to complete their course at the end of the semester in which they enroll.  If the course is not completed, a student at the end of the semester will receive a grade of Incomplete and will have the following semester to complete the course requirements.

For undergraduate degree-seeking students, Correspondence courses may qualify for Financial Aid.  Please contact the Financial Aid Office for additional information.
