Paying for College

Concordia University Chicago offers a high quality education that’s affordable. The University is providing more than $12 million in institutional scholarships and grants to current students. The average freshman award for the current year is $11,700. The average total financial aid package is $21,000. A record number of new freshmen enrolled this past year citing both the academic reputation and generous financial aid as key factors in their decision to enroll.

Concordia remains one of the Midwest’s most affordable private universities in demand by students who know they will receive personal attention in small classes from professors who actively support students’ academic and career success.

We are committed to offering generous financial assistance from the time you are admitted to the time you celebrate your graduation. Unlike some universities who offer a generous aid package freshman year and decrease it in remaining years, CUC establishes the best aid package possible and guarantees it in subsequent years (as long as stipulated academic requirements are maintained.)

  • At the time of admission, each student is considered for institutional merit-based scholarships and grants determined by the student’s grade point average and ACT test scores. For transfer students, the college grade point average is used to determine the award levels. To calculate your estimated scholarship awards, use our online financial aid calculator.
  • You can also use the federal government need-based calculator to estimate additional financial aid offered through federal and state funding programs.

The best way to estimate your actual college cost is to focus on direct expenses such as tuition and fees. For students who choose to live on campus, this will also include room and board fees. Please note that your actual charges for tuition, fees and room and board will not be finalized until you receive your billing statement from our Business Services Office.
