Institute for Church Professionals

The Institute for Church Professionals is inaugurated to accomplish these goals:

Recruitment:

• To provide opportunities for prospective students to consider the Public Ministry as a vocational option
• To provide opportunities for non-church professional students to be introduced to the various Church Professions
• To communicate to the church-at-large Concordia University's commitment to preparing men and women for the Church Professions

Promotion of Ministry Opportunities:

• To provide students in Church Professional programs with the opportunity to become aware of the many settings for ministry- urban, rural, institutional, parish, etc.
• To provide "in-service" opportunities to experience ministry settings including team ministry experiences
• To enhance communication between program directors
• To model team ministry

Commitment:

• To provide experiences which will heighten the Church Professional student's commitment to the Public Ministry.

Support:

• To provide support to "first year" Church Professionals.
