Enrollment Letter
Concordia University Early Childhood Education Center serves as a laboratory school for the University. Our goal is to enable education students to have experience in classrooms that support current education practices. Listed below are all full day programs available at the lab school. All full day programs have a curriculum designed to ensure the developmental needs of children are met as age-appropriate.
Infant Program is designed for children who are 6 weeks to 15 months of age and walking. This program is available 5 days per week (Monday-Friday), 2 days per week (Tuesday/Thursday) or 3 days per week (Monday/Wednesday/ Friday) from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Class size is limited to 9 infants with a ratio of 1:3.
Toddler Program is designed for children who are 15 months and walking to approx. 24 months of age. This program is available 5 days per week (Monday-Friday), 2 days per week (Tuesday/Thursday) or 3 days per week (Monday/Wednesday/ Friday) from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Class size is limited to 12 toddlers with a ratio of 1:4.
Younger Full Day Preschool is designed for children who are at least 2 years of age. Class size is limited to 15 children with a ratio of 1:5. This program is available 5 days per week (Monday-Friday), 2 days per week (Tuesday/Thursday) or 3 days per week (Monday/Wednesday/ Friday) from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Full Day Preschool is for children who are at 3 years of age by September 1 of the current school year and potty-trained. Class size is limited to 20 children with a ratio of 1:7. This program is available 5 days per week (Monday-Friday), 2 days per week (Tuesday/Thursday) or 3 days per week (Monday/Wednesday/ Friday) from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Breakfast, Lunch and an Afternoon Snack are provided in all full time programs, excluding special diets. Children are encouraged to nap in all full time programs.
Enrollment in full time programs occurs each school year from existing wait lists. The 2008-2009 school year begins the end of August 2008 and concludes in August 2009. Full time program spaces may be held for the summer months for those who wish to re-enter the full time program. The cost for holding a space during the summer months of June, July, & August is equivalent to four weeks of tuition. All arrangements for the summer of 2008 should be made through the office during the Spring 2008 semester.
