International Students
Concordia University welcomes students from all over the world seeking opportunities often available only at a large university yet provides a close knit community atmosphere with small class sizes and professors passionate about their teaching and students. Student Services
The Office of Student Services can assist international students on campus to adjust to the United States and Concordia University Chicago, as well as learn how to communicate across cultures. The Dean of Students is the International Student advisor at CUC.
Services provided include:
• Individual counseling and special services to meet the needs of international students
• Visa advising and issuance of immigration documents
• Enrollment and expense letters
• Information about on campus employment, cultural excursions, campus and community programming

Admission Requirements
Applicants for admission who are not U.S. citizens are required to meet all the regular admission standards. In addition, the following are required:
• A score of at least 533 (paper-based), 200 (computer-based), 72-73 (internet-based) for undergraduate studies on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or successful completion of Level 112 at an English Language School (ELS) or level 12 at a Berlitz Language Program and an unqualified recommendation of the program director of the chosen language program. A Michigan test score of at least 85 may also be accepted in lieu of the other language proficiency options. Our code is 1140.
• Certified English translations of all transcripts originally prepared in any other language. (The student will be responsible for having the English translations evaluated by a professional transcript evaluator as determined by the University.)
• A certified document guaranteeing adequate financial support for at least the student's first year of study and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, adequate funding from the same or an equally dependable source, for subsequent years.
• For students transferring from a school in the United States, a transfer verification form.
• A physical exam, adequate medical insurance, and proof of immunization are required prior to enrollment.
All documents must be received by the admission office at least three months prior to the expected date of entry. I-20 forms may be issued only after acceptance is granted and will remain in effect only for those who continue to make satisfactory progress as full-time students in an accepted program. The program length may vary for each student.
