June 21, 2007—Concordia University Chicago is pleased to introduce its College of Business for the fall semester of 2007. Introduction of the new College demonstrates Concordia’s commitment to a progressive business program and the vigorous demands of Chicago’s career market.

Preparing Confident, Ethical Business Leaders for Today’s World
The University currently offers Bachelor of Arts programs in Accounting, Management and Marketing.

New to its offerings are the Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with emphases in Accounting, Management, Marketing, Sports Management, Non-Profit Management and Church Management.

Concordia, founded in 1864, has 1,074 undergraduate and 2,636 graduate students studying at its main River Forest campus, and at more than 100 extension sites located throughout Chicagoland.

“The University’s prime geographic location, the high quality of academic instruction, and an impressive array of internship possibilities in Chicago offers students a well-rounded education. We’re seeking to foster the development of solid, ethical business leaders,” said Dr. John F. Johnson, president.

“When we were considering expanding our business program, we wanted to ensure that new areas of emphasis would support emerging areas of specialty,” Johnson said, “We know that today’s professionals need to make their degree choices viable for a very active—and changing—job market.”
