Sociology and Social Work Club

Sociological understanding is also enhanced by an active participation in the community. To this end, students are invited to participate in the Sociology and Social Work club. Over the last several years, this formal gathering of students and professors has ventured into the community for a variety of social service and cultural activities, including: a drive to collect canned goods for the needy, a dinner at several ethnically diverse restaurants, volunteer efforts on behalf of area homeless shelters, a cookie baking party in support of foster children. Sociology honor students are also invited to join Concordia's chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, the national sociology honor society.
