Sociology

Sociology makes a simple promise. It holds that one will never view the world quite the same way after one has been exposed to the "sociological imagination." The activities of our lives-from raising children, to finding a job, to living in a city, to joining a church, to becoming a deviant-will be understood in new and exciting ways as these experiences are tied to the broader contexts of social institutions, social groups, social interactions, and society as a whole.

Social Work

It takes a special person to care for the needs of others, to listen with an open heart, to establish trust and confidence in a helping relationship. If you possess these qualities, you could be heading for a career in social work.
