Throughout its history of more than 135 years, Concordia University has placed a strong emphasis on music. Its noteworthy faculty, alumni, and performing groups have achieved an important standing in the fields of music education and church music. Two degrees are offered through the department: bachelor of arts, and bachelor of music education. Many majors, minors, and concentrations are available through these degrees.
